Yay March Break!
Said no parent ever..anyways, kids are having a blast and the weather is certainly nice temperature wise if you don’t mind the wet conditions over all. Yes, we have been getting some rain. But I would take rain over snow anytime 😉
So guess what we did this weekend? We went to Medieval Times! This is our second visit but each time, the Kings court manages to take our breath away with their galore and splendor.
Travelling through the mist of time to a forgotten era where devotion, courage and love prevailed is certainly fun and exciting! Kids were spellbound by the show featuring heroic knights on beautiful horses displaying their valor with thrilling sword plays. Well, who am I kidding? Even adults were enthralled by the show as our meals were served and drinks replenished time to time. The serfs and wenches attend to every need of the guests while we the guests feast on the four course dinner in a true medieval pre silverware fashion. It was certainly amazing and one of a kind experience.
Krista, my daughter was so taken with the whole show and was edging out of her seat to get a better view as the valiant knights on the horseback faces their competition in the games of various skills such as ring pierce, flag toss and javelin throw. It was fun joining everyone cheering the knights to victory in authentic jousting matches and sword fights. Boy, what a night!
I took some video of the show but having some technical difficulties in uploading it to the blog or to YouTube. But rest assured it will be up and running pretty soon and you will be able to find out what the fuss is all about.
So, guess what? There is some good news for you all. Medieval Times is kind enough to invite one of my readers to visit the Toronto castle and attend their show! There will be two tickets waiting with your name on it 🙂 Yay! So exciting! Giveaway is open to Canadian residents excluding Quebec.
All you have to do is to enter the giveaway below and hold your breath (kidding) 😉 Good luck everyone!
***Disclosure: I was given the opportunity to visit the castle free of cost to facilitate the review, but my take on the experience is honest and is not influenced in anyway with my relationship with the brand****
