January has been a busy month for me so far, both in terms of work and my blogging business. As you might know, I have switched careers in December which brought about a HUGE life style change for our family!Rearranging our life around my new prospect was bit of a learning curve but I am happy to report that together as a family, we have finally achieved some level of balance in facing the changes this new opportunity fetched, to an extent.
I am in training at my new job and was away from home last week for further off site training. This was a new experience since I have never been away from my kids, ever! It was a hard decision to make, in terms of staying at a hotel without laying eyes on my kids for ONE WEEK! But it was necessary, so I steeled my nerves and hit the eye of the storm, head on! My kids were such a spot too, they were super nice while I was not around and listened to their Daddy and obliged him always. And thank God, they were not sick and no emergencies were befallen upon them at this precarious time.
You can imagine my relief now that we are over it, right? 🙂
Anyways, I hear Netflix kept them good company in my absence. Mind you, I don’t expect any less from them! Puss in Boots arrived mid-January on Netflix and I counted on him to keep my kids entertained. What can I say, Puss kept his word!
The world’s greatest fighter, lover and milk connoisseur springs into action with comical tales that take him to exotic locations, filled with unforgettable characters. As Puss embarks on adventures that are the stuff of legend, nothing can stand in the way of this swashbuckling hero … except a hairball! Puss in Boots is a great example of an enduring and entertaining children’s tale based on a book. You see, Puss fitted the bill perfect and my kids hardly found time to long for me. While I must be a bit jealous this happened, thankfully I am not since I would rather have them having a blast than crying for their Mommy when I can’t help to be around them.
So, it worked out well for everyone 🙂
Now, if you are yearning for more of literature based shows that takes you back in time, rest assured! I can suggest you a ton of them that are currently streaming on Netflix! Yay!!!
For your Big Kids
For your Little Ones
I thank Netflix for keeping my children entertained by giving them a ride back in time. They had fun meeting some favorite characters from literature and for a while they forgot all about Mommy. Now, it won’t be that hard for me to go away next time, don’t you think? 😉 Netflix will have me covered!
Stay warm and watch Netflix everyone!
