Today’s featured blogger at How- To’s for Dummies Guest Post series is my dear friend and blogger, Jennifer from Simply At Home Mom.  She is a  a mother of four who loves to cook and bake, but don’t always have a lot of time to do so. She likes to find healthy, yet easy to prepare meals for her family that are also easy on the budget and are made mostly from ingredients found right in her pantry. She was kind enough to share one of her yummy recipes with us here.
 
 
 

Crock Pot Tropical Chicken

 
This recipe is super easy to make and requires only a few ingredients. What is even better, is that it is made in the crock pot so you can toss everything in the crock pot in the morning, and come home to yummy meal with very little prep.
 
Serves 4-6

Ingredients: 

2lbs. chicken breast tenderloins                              
1 16 ounce can pineapple chunks plus juice
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup light soy sauce
2 Tbp minced onion

Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over brown rice with side salad if desired.
