One of my favourite spices in the kitchen is cinnamon. Other than its delicious taste and aroma, did you know cinnamon has some health benefits too? Yes, it promotes a healthy heart, fights diabetes, protects brain function among other things. The medical properties of cinnamon are quite astonishing and prized for thousands of years. It lowers the risk of cancer, helps with weight loss, fights infections and viruses.
So, you see it’s quite easy to love cinnamon 🙂
Other than using it to spice up your tea or flavouring your oatmeal, the possibilities of using cinnamon as an ingredient are endless. Recently, we made some cinnamon twists and boy, wasn’t it yummy!
So here I am, sharing our Cinnamon Twists recipe. They are delicious and easy to make. Have a look and whip them up in no time.
Cinnamon Twists Recipe
1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 375F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Roll out your puff pastry and use a pizza cutter to cut into 1″ wide strips.
Sprinkle generously with sugar and cinnamon.
Grasp both ends of a strip and twist the pastry dough – place on your baking sheet.
Repeat with all strips.
Bake 10-12 minutes until golden.
