There is nothing better for a busy mom to make sure healthy meals are ready for her family every night like a Crockpot.  The ability to slow cook any meal while you work, run errands or tend to younger kids makes this a must. There are a multitude of styles, sizes and options out there, but we recommend using at least a 6 qt for full meals and a smaller 2 qt for side dishes, dips and sauces.

New yoga pants

There may be days when you need to get out the door fast with the kids but won’t have time to dress up or do your hair.  Have one nice new pair of comfy yoga pants or leggings that you can throw on with a clean shirt to drop kids off while still feeling clean and ready to meet other moms on the road.

A calendar that everyone can consult is a necessity with back to school activities in full swing.  Whether you create one on a chalkboard, or you buy a traditional paper one this is a must back to school supply moms need.  You can alternately use online calendars for the entire family to sync and stay in touch.

An emergency chocolate or wine stash

Depending on your preferences, a few nice quality chocolate bars in a desk drawer, or a favorite bottle of wine in the liquor cabinet are a great addition to your back to school supplies moms need.  Some days you just simply need to relax and enjoy that chocolate, glass of wine and quiet time alone to recharge and prepare for the day ahead.

A fresh new journal

Moms need to take a few minutes each day to themselves to preserve their sanity.  A fresh new journal is a place they can list notes, needs, prayers, poems, ideas and even complaints.

They can document day to day things, make reminders for themselves or write down things to praise their kids about later in the day.
