About Me

So glad you are here! 🙂

Well, let me introduce myself. I am Vinma and this blog, MomLess Mom is my creation.

I cannot really remember how I came about starting my blog… but one day,  I decided to take the plunge and start an online journal of some sort to keep record of my life and those of my kids.

Initially my blog was on a free platform and under a totally different name. Six or seven months into  ‘blogging business’, I decided to take the high road by finding a proper home and also baptizing it with a name that bore close resemblance to my life, ‘MomLess Mom’. If you are a regular visitor to my place, you will know that this site of mine has gone through a lot of changes in the past- including my frequent designing frenzies and constant face lifts. And what you see now is the latest one! I love it. I hope you do too.

Like I mentioned before, I have kids- two of them whom I love to bits and pieces. They are the life force behind  MomLess Mom and the flesh and blood behind the words that I write here. They teach me something new everyday and sometimes I find it really hard to keep up with them 🙂 Hence the need for an online diary, now you see where I am going with this, right?

Anyways, contrary to what I imagined my blog to be in the very beginning (which happened to be an online diary), it has now grown to become something bigger and beautiful. And it keeps blooming and flourishing…everyday. And I am prouder than ever!

I have a professional life in the real world. I an an Insurance broker. Yeah! Tell me about it,right? It is no profession for creative and artistic people. No, just kidding here 😉 Actually it is not so bad. I love the profession I am in.

Anyways, I hope you will stick around long enough to get to know me and what I do. Here’s to our time together!

I am a momless mom too. I lost my mother at age 7 and it has colored every single thing in my world since then–“good” and “bad.” It’s always comforting to find others out there who are motherless daughters and momless moms. You recognize you aren’t alone, that other people have had some of the same struggles as you, and that they can relate so much to what you’ve been through. I like to think that my biggest advocate in my life is my mother–that she is working miracles for me in the unseen space of the universe.

oh Nicole! You have no idea how much your words mean to me… One goal behind starting my blog was to meet people with shared backgrounds. And I do meet them here and there occasionally. I am glad that you reached out. I can imagine the pain you are going through ,for it is my pain too. But as long as we can touch the rainbow by finding the good in our situations, I think we should be okay. Stay in touch.. thanks for stopping by 🙂

    Very lovely initiative momlessmom!

The biggest challenge in raising children today, according to parents and non-parents alike, is dealing with the outside impacts of society.

Beyond communal influences, other observed challenges in raising children include teaching ethics and values, maintaining self-restraint, handling the financial aspects of childrearing, and dealing with the educational system.

I feel, If you can address these kind of issues or share your thoughts will add more value for this initiative.

I grew up essentially momless too – my mom left when I was ten and pretty much never looked back. Great concept for a blog!

    Hi Vinma,

Hope you’re well! Just wanted to ask if you accept outside content contributors, because I would love to pitch you some ideas if so.

I’m a contributing author for a new homeowners site, and I’m looking for opportunities to write more actively for other sites as well.

Are you the right person to contact about this?
